Passport to Care: How Community Living covered Shaun’s cancer story video
One of IC Works finest achievements of 2025 was producing an accessible video about Shaun Webster’s cancer story which was filmed in the summer for NHS England in Rotherham with film-maker Gavin, IC Works Director Ian and our video star IC Works expert Shaun.
The video launched in October during Male Cancer Awareness Week and created enough buzz for Shaun to be interviewed by Hits Radio (South Yorkshire) for their news bulletins.
We were delighted when Saba Salman contacted IC Works HQ about creating an article for the Winter Edition of Community Living.
We asked Shaun for his views on the article. He told us:
“I’ve been reading the Community Living Magazine article about me, and I was very happy with it, because it got everything in the magazine that I said when I was interviewed by Saba. The words in the magazine were spot-on, I feel it was coming out of my mouth, and the article got all the key points. I was very proud of it.”
Please click here to read Passport to Care, subtitled ‘Shaun Webster tells Saba Salman how a bad experience spurred a video on clarity in healthcare.’
The article includes quotes from Shaun about his negative experience of getting a cancer diagnosis and how this turned around to a far more positive and accessible experience whilst getting treatment and check-ups.
